Senior Adults
We offer a variety of ministry opportunities and activities for Senior Adults. In addition to enjoying Sunday Bible Study groups, our Seniors also serve as active volunteers in many of our ongoing church ministries. Plus they are often engaged in fun, relational activities ranging from monthly dinners to day trips all around the KC metro area.
| KEENAGERS MONTHLY BANQUET
Keenagers
Banquet is designed to provide a time of fun and fellowship for all
senior adults in our church and community. The monthly banquet is a
casual sit-down dinner with special entertainment. The banquet
includes a time for prizes, singing, celebrating birthdays and
anniversaries. The Banquet is on the 3rd Thursday of each month at
5:00 PM in the church Fellowship Hall. The cost is $3 per person or $1
for each person who brings a dessert.
Please
call the church office for reservations by Tuesday before each
banquet. We will also send a postcard to remind you of each month’s
banquet if you are regularly involved in Keenagers. To get added to our
mailing list, please contact Sandra Poff in the church office. |
HOMEBOUND MINISTRIES
We
provide a ministry to Senior Adults who can no longer attend church
because of physical limitations. We minister to 4 nursing homes as well
as visiting those who are in their own homes throughout eastern Jackson
County. We provide literature, make phone calls, pray, minister to
nursing home employees, send cards and letters, conduct worship
services, teach Bible studies, provide pet therapy, and provide music.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is available on Sunday morning for Senior Adults who wish to attend Worship or Sunday School. If you would like to be added to our transportation schedule, please contact the church office.
WORSHIP
While our Sunday morning services are designed to connect with everyone regardless of their age or church background, we realize that many of our senior adults connect with God most effectively through a more traditional time of worship. We offer a service at 5:00 PM on Sunday evenings for anyone who enjoys an intimate setting with familiar hymns and expository Bible preaching. |
