There was a movie a few years ago that supposedly (Hollywood) had its setting based in Australia. It might have even been filmed in that country, I don't know. Anyway, the main actor in the script would periodically take a "walkabout" as a part of his lifestyle. I think a "walkabout" is somewhat akin to "walking around" and talking to people. I did that this past Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed my time getting to visit with many of you that I don't see each week. Allow me to share some "reflections" during my time hanging out with some of the greatest people on the planet. |

| Worship |
| New 8:00 a.m. Bible Study classes - Easily these are some of the most selfless people on earth. They have taken our emphasis of "Making Room for One More" to new heights. Starting new classes at 8:00 a.m. allows for growth in each hour of worship and Bible study. It helps relieve the crowded conditions in the hallways and parking lot. Thank you to all who are teaching, studying and growing in Christ at 8:00 a.m. There is room for more in those classes, don't miss out.
Bible Study - Great teachers giving their best to God and to you to help each of us know Christ and Scripture.
Baptisms - Seeing the evidence of lives that have been changed for eternity is worth everything. Thank you for not taking our baptisms each month for granted. Your genuine response to honor God and those being baptized means everything to God and the person.
Worship - God is present in our services each week. Last Sunday was incredible in both hours of worship. God was honored! Our Worship Choir, Orchestra, Praise Team and band under Lee Sisney's leadership is a phenomenal blessing to all of us. We are so fortunate to have such gifted and humble servants lead us to know God each week.

| Staff |
| Staff - I know without a doubt that we have the best! We are extremely blessed to have the quality of people that serve First as staff members. Watching them in action this week was another confirmation God is doing a great work at First.
Teaching Pastors - Our staff does an outstanding job of teaching God's Word each week. Almost all of our pastors are teaching somewhere on our campus. I strongly believe that if God has given our pastors the gift of teaching, it should be used. Matt Sprink did a great job this week and Matt Evans will be teaching again in the near future. Tony Recalde filled in for Jerry Craig this past Sunday night. God has put together a solid teaching team to lead our church. Again, we are blessed.

| HUGS Ministry |
| HUGS Ministry - Annette Hopper. and her gang. are doing a superb job! Their task is not always easy, I was watching some of your driving habits (haha). From our parking lot greeters to our door greeters, they are doing a key work at our church and could use more help - immediately. If you are interested in being on the front lines of ministry, then write 'HUGS' on the tear-off portion of the program along with a name and number and you will receive a call.
Parking Lot - It is full!!! If you are sixty or younger and are not inhibited to walk about one hundred and fifty yards, please, please, please park away from the building to give the choice (close to the building) parking spots for our guests who arrive each week. Good spots are available at Meyer Brothers Funeral Home to the west and by the IMPACT Ministry buildings. Spaces are also available at the back of each of our regular parking lots. I guess I should have played valet for about a dozen of my closest friends this week who took some really prime spots close to the door (haha).

| Upcoming Events |
| The Main Event - Lindsey Woods, Becky Blaine and their teams have again put together a great weekend for our children to know God. If you know a child that does not attend church, please bring them to the Main Event this Friday - Sunday. Call the church for all the details, 229-9335.
The County Fair - I would not be shocked if we have a few thousand people show up for the County Fair this Sunday evening. This Fair is NOT only children, but will offer something for all ages. Free food, mechanical bull, water games, food, a dunking booth (some of you will get a chance to put me under), moon walk, kiddie ferris wheel, live animals, did I mention food?, and even fresh kettle corn, WOW! This is a great opportunity for you to bring your friends who need to see that God invented fun and that His children know how to have it! Continue to invite your friends and bring them with you this Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. for an incredible evening! |

| The First Family |
| That would be you! You are some of the most gracious, humble, loving people imaginable. It is a privilege to serve Christ alongside each of you at this time in history. Thank you for being good stewards of this life and the opportunities that God is giving to you each day!
We love you!
